We were boating in the northeast leg of Dogtooth Lake when we heard the long bawl of a desperate animal just over the hill.

Just a few minutes later this wolf appeared on the shoreline. After a quick drink, it slipped back up the hill. I think it may have been to rejoin a few others in a meal?
