Smallmouth bass fishing is spectacular in the northwestern portion of Ontario. Fish can go as much as seven pounds and the pace of the catching will have you wondering why it took you so long to do this. Canoes offer access to areas on some lakes that are inaccessible to motorized boats and in many cases, these may be the better spots on the lake for lunker bass.
